Outdoor Education is a highly valued and very important aspect of the curriculum and your child’s development. It is an expectation that all students attend camp. Our camp structures us as follows:

Year 5 – Urban Camp with St Joseph’s Wonthaggi students.

Grade 4 Wilson’s Promontory Camp

In term 4, Grade 4 students attend a camp at Wilson’s Prom. Students learn about the measures taken by Park’s Victoria in keeping the area protected. Some of the activities the students participate in include nature walks, beachcombing and environmental sessions with a park ranger.

Grade 5 Melbourne Discovery Camp

In term 4, Grade 5 students attend Urban Camp Melbourne. Students explore Melbourne and discover many of the city sights and attractions.

Excursions / Incursions & Extra-Curricular activities

Excursions (visiting venues outside the school) and incursions (held at school) are organised from time to time to enhance the teaching programs and learning experiences of the students. All students are expected to participate in these educational activities. Parents will be given information about forthcoming excursions through CareMonkey, teachers and the school newsletters. Closer to the time of the excursion you will be given information in writing and your consent will be sought. Students who do not return permission forms will not be able to participate in the excursion.
